Flowers: corolla 14–18 mm, longer than bracts, abaxial lip 5–6 mm, pouches 3 mm deep.
Phenology: Flowering Jun–Aug.
Habitat: Open, grassy or rocky slopes.
Elevation: 1200–2500 m.
Discussion
In California, subsp. copelandii is known from the Klamath Ranges, High North Coast Ranges, Cascade Ranges, and northern High Sierra Nevada plus in southwestern Oregon.
