Revision as of 18:04, 29 July 2020 by imported>Volume Importer
Plants (10–) 20–35 cm. Inflorescences eglandular. Flowers: corolla usually white to pale lavender, 15–20 mm, glabrous; banner length 0.7–0.9+ times wings, wings obovate, notched. 2n = 14.
Phenology: Flowering Mar–Jun.
Habitat: Open, sandy places.
Elevation: 0–600 m.
Discussion
Variety bartsiifolia seems to be in decline due to habitat loss in the Central Valley. Coastal populations are on sand dunes and are identical to those of the interior, which are found in sandy places but not on dunes. There are few modern records in either region. Some populations are, in part, threatened by off-road vehicle activity.
