Stems 5–20+ cm. Leaves: basal axils ± densely tomentose, terminal lobes 2–6 mm; cauline 0–3 (–4). Heads (5–) 10–50. Peduncles 1–7 cm. Phyllaries 5–7 mm. Florets 15–25; corollas yellowish, 2–3 (–3.5) mm, throats 1–2 mm, lengths (2–) 3–4 times lobes; anthers 2 mm. Cypselae 4–5 mm, hairs 1–2 mm; pappi 0.1–0.8 mm. 2n = 34.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Jul.
Habitat: Sands, gravels, calcareous
Elevation: 1600–2200 m
