Stems clustered, 15 cm or less in diam. Leaves 2–3 m. 2n = 28, 32, 34.
Phenology: Flowering summer.
Habitat: Moist organic soil over limestone in mesic hammocks and disturbed wooded areas
Elevation: 0–10 m
Distribution
Introduced; Fla., native from India to the Philippine Islands
