Leaves: segment apices stiff. Inflorescences dividing into 3 main axes, each axis bearing up to 4 orders of branching. Fruits globose, ripening from green through orange to black. 2n = 36.
Phenology: Flowering spring–summer.
Habitat: Disturbed hammocks and mesic woods
Elevation: 0–10 m
