Leaf-blades thin or thick, base acute to truncate, margins entire, dentate, serrate, or sinuate-dentate, glabrous or farinose. Inflorescences glomerules in loose or dense compound spikes, occasionally cymes. Seeds usually less than 1.5 mm diam., margins rounded or acute; seed-coat smooth or honeycombed.
