Leaf-blades bright green or yellow abaxially, dark green adaxially, narrowly to broadly elliptic, 2–8 cm, margins entire or sharply serrate, flat, apex acute, both surfaces glabrous or abaxial slightly puberulent; veins prominent abaxially. Drupe stones 2.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Coastal sage scrub, desert scrub, chaparral, woodlands, forest edges.
Elevation: 0–2800 m.
