Stems (2–) 3+, ascending to erect, 10–30 cm, glabrous or puberulent. Basal leaves 0–4, surfaces glabrous, sometimes sparsely strigose; stipules lanceolate, apex acute.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–May.
Habitat: Rich woodlands, mesic forests, alluvial forests
Elevation: 50–1500 m
