Stems ascending to erect, 0.5–1.7 (–2.3) dm. Leaves: blade often somewhat fleshy, to 4 mm wide, margins often entire, sometimes 1 or 2 weak teeth per side. Racemes often loosely elongated in fruit. Fruits oblong to narrowly oblong-lanceoloid, often curved, (0.3–) 0.5–1.2 (–1.5) cm × (0.8–) 1.1–3 (–3.6) mm, 3.5–8.3 times as long as wide; style slender or stout, (0.3–) 0.5–1.6 (–2) mm. 2n = 56.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Jul.
Habitat: Barren, usually calcareous soils and gravel, gravel bars, disturbed sites, lake and sea shores, scree slopes, solifluction lobes
Elevation: 0-3700 m
