Leaf-blades 25–100 (–150+) × 10–30 (–60+) mm. Phyllaries linear (ultimately each convolute about a subtended cypsela), glabrous or hispid to setose. Cypselae: outer 10–15 (–25) mm, inner 5–10 mm. 2n = 10.
Phenology: Flowering May.
Habitat: Disturbed sites
Elevation: 10–200 m
