Heads (12–) 30–50. Phyllaries ± 13, 7–9 mm. Ray-florets ± 8; corolla laminae 7–10 mm. Disc-florets 20–40+.
Phenology: Flowering summer.
Habitat: Stream banks, wet sites, open coniferous woodlands
Elevation: 2500–3200 m
Distribution
Colo., Utah, Wyo.
Discussion
Of conservation concern.
Variety admirabilis occurs on the southern Rocky Mountains of Wyoming and Colorado and in the La Sal Mountains of Utah.
