Leaves opposite or alternate, sessile; blade ovate to linear, small, entire. Staminate flowers in axillary glomerules. Fruiting bracteoles monomorphic, sessile or subsessile, typically ovate or hastate, united to middle or almost or quite to apex, broadest at or near base, entire or denticulate, faces tuberculate or smooth. Seeds: radicle superior.
