Plants annual. Leaf-blades with margins sinuate-dentate [to unlobed]. Inflorescences of compact axillary glomerules or cymes. Flowers: perianth segments [4–] 5, distinct nearly to base, partially enclosing fruit; stamens absent or 1 [–2]; styles 2. Seeds vertical.

Distribution

Introduced; Pacific Islands (New Zealand), Australia, some species locally and naturalized in other regions
