Leaves: petioles 1–5+ mm; blades 7–10 (–18+) × 1–6 (–12) cm overall, lobes 3–5+ mm wide. Peduncles 1–10+ mm. Involucres 2–3+ mm. Phyllaries: outer 5 sparsely strigose or glabrous abaxially, margins ciliolate, inner ciliolate. Pistillate florets: corollas 0.1–0.7 mm, or 0. Functionally staminate florets: corollas 1.5–2 mm. Cypselae 1.5–2 mm. 2n = 72.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Nov.
Habitat: Calcareous desert soils
Elevation: 1000–2000 m
