Stems and leaves moderately to densely strigillose. Outer phyllaries sparsely strigillose. 2n = 18, 36.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Oct.
Habitat: Dry sandy and gravelly, open to grass-covered soils, along streambeds, open woods, roadsides, disturbed areas
Elevation: 0–2200+ m
