Annuals, 5–20+ cm. Leaf-blades simple or 1 (–2) -pinnately lobed, terminal lobes spatulate to narrowly oblanceolate, 1–3 mm wide. Peduncles 5–12 (–20+) cm. Calyculi of 5–7+ oblong to linear bractlets 4–8 (–10) mm, ciliolate near bases. Phyllaries (5–) 8, ovate to lanceovate, 4–5 (–7) mm. Ray-florets 5–8; laminae 8–12 (–15+) mm. Disc-florets 12–30+; corollas 2.5–3.5 mm. Cypselae ± obovate, 4–5 mm, not marked adaxially with red, wings corky-thickened, faces smooth or ± tuberculate, not hirtellous. 2n = 24.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–May.
Habitat: Rocky slopes, serpentine ridges
Elevation: 400–800 m
