Leaf-blades 3-nerved distal to bases, 5–9 (–11) × 1–2.5 (–4) mm, margins coarsely serrate, apices obtuse to rounded, faces pubescent. 2n = 20.

Habitat: Dry, open or wooded, disturbed sites, sandy pinelands
Elevation: 10–300 m
