Stems glabrous or scabrous. Leaves glabrous or sparsely puberulent, resinous. Involucres 11–15 mm. Phyllaries erect, margins usually glandular, apices ± obtuse-mucronate, faces glabrous, resinous. Disc-florets 18–30; corollas 10–11 mm.
Phenology: Flowering Sep–Nov.
Habitat: Dry canyons, usually with Quercus, Pinus, Arctostaphylos, Ceanothus, Eriogonum
Elevation: 600–1200 m
