Endemic
Leaves oblanceolate to lance-linear. Peduncles 20–120 mm. Involucres 5–7 mm. Phyllaries 7–11, distinct, elliptic to oblanceolate, apices acuminate. Ray-florets 7–11; corollas yellow, laminae 5–10 mm, entire or obscurely 3-lobed (mid-lobes shorter than outers). Disc-florets 20–40. Cypselae ± prismatic (not obcompressed), ± 2 mm, 3-angled (ray) or 4-angled (disc), glabrate. 2n = 26.
Phenology: Flowering Mar–Jul.
Habitat: Serpentinitic areas in grasslands or openings in chaparral or oak woodlands
Elevation: 100–1200 m
