Nevada holmgrenii

Stems (0.8–) 1–2.5 (–3.2) dm, glabrous. Basal leaves: petiole to 2 cm (ciliate, trichomes to 0.4 mm); blade (rigid) narrowly to broadly oblanceolate, 1–5 cm × 3–6 (–9) mm, base attenuate to cuneate, apex acute, surfaces glabrous or, rarely, margins ciliate to apex. Cauline leaves 3–5; blade linear to lanceolate, (0.6–) 1–1.8 (–2.5) cm × 1–3 mm, surfaces glabrous, sometimes margins ciliate, apex acute. Racemes somewhat lax in fruit. Fruiting pedicels sometimes appressed to rachis, straight, 3–9 mm, glabrous. Flowers: sepals 1.7–2.5 × 0.8–1.5 mm; petals 2.8–4 × 1.5–2 mm, attenuate to clawlike base; filaments 1.5–2.5 mm; anthers 0.4–0.6 mm. Fruits ascending to erect, (0.7–) 1–1.8 (–2.4) cm × 1–1.5 mm; style 0.1–0.4 mm. Seeds 2–3 × 0.7–1 mm. 2n = 14.

Nevada holmgrenii is restricted to central Nevada in Humboldt, Lander, Nye, Pershing, and White Pine counties.
