Leaf-blades slightly glaucous, spatulate, 10–30 × 10–30 mm, apex rounded. Flowering shoots 4–13 cm; leaf-blades glaucous, suborbiculate, base cordate, not clasping stem. Flowers: sepals 2–4.1 mm, apex acute; petals pink or white, 4–8 mm; anthers red or yellow. 2n = 60.


Phenology: Flowering mid summer.
Habitat: Serpentine
Elevation: 1000-1200 m

Discussion

Of conservation concern.

Variety eastwoodiae is known only from four populations on Red Mountain (Mendocino County) and in Del Norte County.
