Leaf-blades not glaucous, obovate, 15–40 × 17–33 mm, apex deeply emarginate. Flowering shoots 15–30 cm; leaf-blades not glaucous, spatulate to oblanceolate, base cordate, not clasping stem. Flowers: sepals 3–4 mm, apex acute; petals pink or white, 7–10 mm; anthers red or yellow. 2n = 30.
Phenology: Flowering late spring-mid summer.
Habitat: Rocky slopes
Elevation: 50-600 m
Discussion
Variety latifolium is known from the drainage of the Smith River and is the most robust of the varieties.
