Common names: Intermediate "wheatgrass"
Treatment appears in FNA Volume 24. Treatment on page 376.
Glumes usually glabrous, smooth or scabrous over 1 or more veins; lemmas usually glabrous, sometimes with hairs on the margins.
Discussion
There is no known difference in geographic distribution between subsp. intermedium and subsp. barbulatum in the Flora region. Ogle (2001) states that T. intermedium subsp. intermedium is adapted to areas with 12-13 inches of rainfall per year.
