Eriogonum nudum var. regirivum

Plants 5–10 dm. Aerial flowering-stems not fistulose, 1–3 (–4) dm, lanate to tomentose. Leaves usually basal, rarely sheathing; blade 2–3.5 × 1.5–2.5 cm, lanate abaxially, tomentose adaxially, margins plane. Inflorescences cymose, 30–100 (–140) × 20–40 cm; branches lanate to tomentose. Involucres 1 per node, 3–4 mm, tomentose. Flowers 1.5–2 mm; perianth white, pubescent. 2n = 40.

Habitat: Limestone slopes, oak and pine woodlands
Elevation: 200-600 m
Discussion
Variety regirivum is a rare and localized taxon presently known only from the Pine Flat Reservoir area and near Dunlap in Fresno County. Most of the historic range of the taxon is now under Pine Flat Reservoir.
